Two online modules are offered. One is intended for use by all Alaska certified staff, and the other is a supplement for counselors. Both modules address the topic of gender and race equity. Some parts of these modules may be specific to the state of Alaska.

Seeing Gender: Tools for Change

Encouraging Girls in Math and Science: An IES Practice Guide

The goal of this practice guide is to formulate specific and coherent evidence-based recommendations that educators can use to encourage girls in the fields of math and science.  The target audience is teachers and other school personnel who have direct contact with students, such as coaches, counselors, and principals.  The practice guide includes specific recommendations for educators and the quality of evidence that supports these recommendations.
