This curriculum is intended to help all those involved with children with disabilities to understand and implement IDEA 2004, the nation's special education law. It is organized according to five themes central to IDEA, with multiple training modules for each of them. The themes are (a) Welcome to IDEA: A Broad Look -- 2 modules; (b) IDEA and General Education -- 4 modules; (c) Evaluating Children for Disability -- 3 modules; (d) Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) -- 5 modules; and (d) Procedural Safeguards -- 3 modules.
