Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders: Online Courses, Educational Materials, Training and Technical Assistance Resources

Meeting the Educational Needs of Youth Exposed to the Juvenile Justice System: Transition Toolkit 2.0

This resource brings together strategies, practices, resources, and documents on transition to enable administrators and service providers to deliver high-quality transition services for children and youth moving into, through, and out of education programs within the juvenile justice system.  The focus is on the administrative processes, coordination efforts, and communication practices within the juvenile justice system -- with a primary focus on programs that directly provide education services. Mental health courts are one of many initiatives launched in the past two decades to address the large numbers of people with mental illness involved in the criminal justice system.   This guide describes mental health court and its goals, the types of individuals who participate in mental health courts, what the research says about mental health courts, issues to be considered when planning or designing a mental health court, and other topics.  It includes a section on mental health courts for juveniles.  (This report was prepared for BJA by the Justice Center of the Council of State Governments.)

Blueprint for Change: A Comprehensive Model for the Identification and Treatment of Youth with Mental Health Needs in Contact with the Juvenile Justice System

Juvenile Justice Teleconferences: Documents and Presentations
