Leadership for Equity and Excellence Forum 2010: Videos of Keynote Speeches

This Forum engaged teams from school districts, educational leaders, researchers, and technical assistance providers  in meaningful interactions around equity in education.  Three informative and interesting keynotes were included by: (a) Bryan McKinley Jones Brayboy; (b) Kimberle Williams Crenshaw; and (c) Paul C. Classnotes Podcasts on Equity in Education

As of early 2010, the South Central Collaborative for Equity has provided 66 twice-monthly podcasts whose audios, notes, and resources are freely available.  These programs cover a wide range of topics in educational equity, such as (a) English language learners, (b) dropout prevention; (c) school change; (d) children in poverty; (e) effective parent outreach; (f) instructional strategies -- and many more.  This is an award-winning collection.  (With headquarters in San Antonio, Texas, The South Central Collaborative for Equity is one of ten regional Equity Assistance Centers funded by the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Elementary and Secondary Education.)
