Autism Spectrum Disorders: Online Modules

Started in 2000, this site was created to disseminate information about characteristics, assessment, and research-based interventions and services for children and youth with autism spectrum disorders.  A series of training modules has been developed on: (a) characteristics; (b) assessment; (c) academic interventions; (d) behavioral interventions; (e) communication interventions; (f) environmental interventions; and (g) social interventions.  Each module contains an introduction, overview, lecture, quiz, frequently asked questions, references, and forum.  Click the topics at the top of the page to enter each module.  (ICAN is a collaborative effort among the State Departments of Education of Connecticut and Minnesota and the University of Kansas to use the World Wide Web as a means of supporting and facilitating training. Funding for ICAN has been provided by the U.S. Department of Education.)
