The goal of this curriculum is to provide direct care staff with the tools and knowledge needed to improve their skills in preventing and ultimately eliminating the use of seclusion and restraint. The curriculum is unique in that it is written from consumer perspectives, and thus helps direct care staff work from a consumer-based philosophy.
